You don’t often hear people saying that sadness is “beautiful,” but I find sadness to be an interesting enigma…especially in music.
By juxataposing the right sounds, you can change the emotion of a track. Some of the most slow-moving and mystical beats can be the epitome of a beautiful sadness. You might be tempted to shed a tear or two, but the sounds of powerful emotionally-driven tracks, especially deep house, can lift your spirit and put a smile on your face.
Perhaps, I’m not making much sense. Am I?
Either way, producers Rhode & Brown have captured the essence of the marriage of beauty and sadness in their latest mixtape, “A Beautiful Sadness II.”
