The sounds of indie pop, chillwave, and dream pop are my late night obsession. I can go hours daydreaming to the music of Washed Out, Flume, Neon Indian, M83, Tycho, How To Dress Well, and my latest obsession, Active Child.
If you’ve never heard of Active Child, then step it up and get in the know. Pat Grossi, who goes by the stage-name Active Child, is a brilliant electronic producer/artist who creates insatiable indie dream pop that will send chills throughout your body.
I’ve heard a few of his tracks in the past, but never knew who I was actually listening to. But last night, on a hungry hunt for music on Spotify, my radio station based off the sounds of M83, Flume, Neon Indian, and Washed Out, led me to fall in love with two tracks.
The first one, “Playing House” features How To Dress Well, is a sex (might as well be sex) song that has a powerful and haunting music video to accompany it. The song along is perfect for some steamy romance, but it’s also a beautiful track that just captures your mind, body, and soul.
The second song I fell in love with is “Hanging On.” This track is also featured on Active Child’s debut album, You Are All I See, and the music video is the beautiful journey of man and nature. Watch the visuals below.
I love both of these videos, and I must add that Active Child has officially made my list of indie dream pop favorites.🙂
