Awesomesauce | A Mashup of the Best Web Videos (Le meilleur du Web)

If I was stranded on an island and could only have one thing aside from basic food such as fruits, then I’d love to have a laptop or iPad with this magical Internet connection that doesn’t require a modem or Wi-Fi access. I know it doesn’t make sense, but that’s why it’s a hypothetical imaginary scenario. If somehow I was stranded on an island and somehow found a working computer that had Wi-fi, then most likely I’m on an episode of Survivor. Sidenote: How are you surviving on an island when people already live there? It just doesn’t make sense….

Anywho, like I was saying, I’d need to have Internet. 80% of my life involves some type of Web usage, including finishing my degree online with the University of Colorado Denver (remember, I live in the DMV  but moved back after living in Colorado for 3 years.) The Internet is such a major part of my life, and I’m mainly glad that it’s given me a chance to share my voice with the world via my blog. But aside from being able to share my opinion and network with amazing people it might not have ever ran across in person, the Web is a great source for epic videos that might not ever be televised on a major network or in a theatre near you.

Viral videos have been around for ages, but it just seems like the creativity and freedom of expression gets better as time goes by and technological advances allow for more innovative creativity. Viral videos come in a variety of genres, but I think it’s amazing to see them all together in one beautiful collection. It’s one thing to just quickly edit a bunch of viral videos into one short video and upload it on Youtube, but one YouTube user knew exactly when to make the rights cuts.

The YouTube user I’m talking about is this guy named Luc Bergeron. You might not have heard of him, but his video Best of Web – Le meilleur du Web has been getting passed around blogs and social media sites. When you think of mashing together a bunch of videos it sounds like such an easy process, but this guy did it with such precision. He was able to effortlessly blend 200 viral videos into a short three minute clip. Not only did he do a great job of mashing up the videos, but he even picked the right song – Kaskade’s “Turn It Down (Le castle vania remix.)”

It’s probably one of the best video mashups I’ve seen in quite some time. It must have took so many hours to precisely edit 200 videos into such a condensed amount of time. I’m telling y’all, this guy has some mad editing skills! Just watch the video below and see for yourself. This is just part one of the best videos; as the weeks go by Luc prepares to debut part two in January.
