Baby Got Back: Venezuela’s Voluptuous Mannequins

Plastic-surgery is common in our society. Don’t like something about your body? Then go ahead, change it. I personally don’t have a problem with cosmetic alterations (doubt I’d ever get any,) but if you do it, don’t be ashamed of it. Share it, don’t hide it or cover it up with a BS lies and denials. But that seems to be a trend, especially amongst celebs…

But I digress. Plastic surgery is huge in our American culture, but did you know that in Venezuela many (perhaps a large selection of the population) women are getting surgical enhancements? I could say plastic surgery, but the level of work that is being done to some of the women is beyond going up a cup size or two. Some of the work is outrageously extreme! Continue reading

It might be throwback Thursday, but instead I got some fresh new school music to share with you. That’s right, all you deep house lovers can get down n dirty to some new vibes from George Fitzgerald.

Titled “Magnetic,” this is a deep, dark, n sexy house track from the UK-based producer. Fitzgerald has become one of my favorite deep house producers, and I’m actually crazy stoked to see him live next month in DC @ U Street Music Hall.

I have a few more weeks to wait to see him spin live, but I’m def loving this new track and hope to hear more new music soon! :)

Los-Angeles/London-based producer, Urulu, is bringing some hot steppin’ music with his forthcoming EP Left Coast.

The EP, which is due out August 26th on New York-based label, Let’s Play House, is brought to life with a fast-paced house track called “92′ Symphony.” Taking it back with a classic house arrangement of the drums, this track is one that will have you hot steppin’ all over the dancefloor.

Give it a spin below. I warn you, make sure you’ve got your dancing shoes on. :)

Eclectic Rhymes | Gajah & Mute Speaker – ‘The Great Indoors’

gajah

Whether it’s a “Breakfast Shoplift” or passing time killing some hype, Los-Angeles emcee Gajah knows how to serve up some eclectic, often ingenious, lyricism that could easily be a verbal visualization of an abstract painting.

I’ve covered quite a bit of music of his on this blog, and whenever I get the chance (and I remember,) I try to post his music. So to show some love and mad support to one of my favorite emcees, I’m sharing with you some fresh new visuals from Gajah.

Check out his new video “The Great Indoors” featuring Mute Speaker.

Once you’ve soaked up that heavy dosage of creative lyricism, you’ll want to get in the mix and get to know Gajah and the Acid Lab Records family. Trust me, Gajah and Acid Lab Records bring forth some innovative hip-hop. It’s like non-stop spoken word. Gosh, I love it! :)
