Gangster House | Wilks – ‘G Thang’ (Free Download)

For his latest free download “G Thang,” Los-Angeles gangsta house aka g-house producer, Wilks, samples one of the iconic west coast anthems, “Aint Nothin’ but A G Thang.”

While keeping that raw gangsta vibe with the vocals of Snoop Dogg, this remix is mainly driven by a heavy bassline. And in the tradition of most gangsta house music, the bass is deep enough for some grinding on the dancefloor.

LIFELIKE & TOMMI BRAVO Take It Back 2 Da Oldskool – ‘Urban Sex’ [Official Video]

imagesJust in time for #throwbackthursdays, Tommi Bravo & LIFELIKE have released a super duper oldskool music video for their new Nurvous Records release “Urban Sex.”

The old school images from 80s films and music videos might not be what comes to mind first when you think of “Urban Sex,” but this video works!

The video is so fresh, so hype, and the ultimate groove to get in a funky, spunky, perhaps let’s get down mood. Okay, maybe not all that, but hey, this video is legit!

Check out the video edited by Meat Cassette. Lifelike’s new EP will be OUT IN JUNE on Nurvous Records.

Boys Noize Debuts Computer Keys Inspired Visuals for ‘ICH R U’

If you haven’t been living under a rock, then you know that German electronic music producer, Boys Noize, digitally released his third studio album Out of the Black earlier this week.

The album has been pretty good acclaim so far and a few fans were actually delighted by the few tracks featuring Snoop Dogg and Los Angeles underground rapper Gizzle. The album has an edgy Daft Punk type electronic sound that makes Boys Noize such a smashing success, but surprisingly enough his more melodic single “ICH R U” is actually really good!

“ICH R U” is a softer electronic side of Boys Noize we don’t get too often, but it’s nice to have a fresh track with an even more fresh + innovative music video. Yup, that’s right. Not only is the track awesome, but the music video for “ICH R U” features a computer keyboard inspired world, including a DJ made out of computer keys.

It’s not often that I see music videos with characters and objects made out of computer keys, so I was quite impressed when I first hit play. The video rocks! Yes, the song is more melodic than you’d expect from Boys Noize, but it works. It’s a fun song with a cool fun video that will surely have your inner geek daydreaming about a DJ made out of keys, a disco ball made from keys, and the ultimate celebration of geekiness. Simply put, computers rock. :)

New Music | Futuristic – F*ck You Mean (Official Music Video)

I know that I’m a huge house fanatic, but every now and then I’ll throw on some hip-hop & chill out. But if you’ve read my blog in the past, you know I’m all about finding artists that aren’t quite famous, but they have music that is worth checking out. Sidenote: Remember, if you happen to be a musician, filmmaker, designer, etc and have something worth showing to the world, then feel free to send it my way & I will blog on. Email me at: askmethink25@hotmail.com

Okay, now that we’ve covered that, lets get back to topic of this post, Futuristic. So since I’m always running across new artists, you might recall that not too long ago I wrote about Futuristic (Mr I Had To Do It), an upcoming rapper from Arizona. He’s had the opportunity to share the stage with MGK, Yelawolf, Afroman, E-40, Yung Berg, Sean Kingston, YG, Snoop Dogg, and the New Boyz. He has been making quite the name for himself, and his latest track “F*ck You Mean” is one that you can’t help to listen to it.

The beat is dope! But not only does the song have a good beat, the video is pretty hilarious & as usual Futuristic does his thing with the typical swag that basically resonates with his slogan, “Mr I Had To Do It.” I don’t know what he had to do, but whatever it was…he did it.

Peep the visuals for Futuristic’s “F*ck You Mean” below & be sure to cope his album Dream Big when it drops on February 19th.

Kindred the Family Soul feat. Snoop Dogg

kindredthefamilysoul It would be hard for me to mention contemporary soul artists without including Kindred the Family Soul. Even though soul is a part of their stage name, these two lovebirds have been pumping out neo-soul and r&b music for years! The duo consisting of married couple Fatin Dantzler and Aja Graydon are a spinoff from the Philadelphia neo soul movement which brought forth the beautiful Jill Scott.

Just as there website states, their music is meant to “celebrate love, family, and the true fighting spirit that keeps us all moving through the world.” Kindred’s music deals with the ups and downs of love, but also bringing forth a family and cherishing the loved one in your life. In my opinion that is what makes their music such a hit and a favorite in my list of neo-soul artists. Everyone can relate to something in their songs, even if it’s just one lyric or the entire message.

Their latest song “You Got the Love” is a track that I warmed up to immediately! I saw the video the other dayglasses! on VH1 Soul (I watch that channel a lot) and I had to find out where Aja got her glasses from…they are hot! I was really feeling the song and enjoying the purity of the lyrics. It’s such a beautiful thing when you find someone who has that love your looking for and the bond between you is unexplainable. That’s how love should be. Love should leave you speechless, confused, in a daze, and leaving you wanting to do anything you can to make that person feel like they are on top of the world.

“You Got the Love” is a beautiful song and it got even better when Snoop Dogg showed up. It’s nice to see Snoop trying to put his wife in more of his music videos and talk about how much he loves her. It seems pretty genuine and hey who am I to judge? I’m just Thinksoul25, I’m not an expert on judging the validity of someone’s heart!

But whatever the case may be with Snoop and his wife, it’s nice to see them all having fun in this video and celebrating love. Check it out and see for yourself. Are you feeling it?
