Anyone who watches Scandal on ABC Thursdays most have seen (or hopefully watches) Person of Interest. One of my favorite shows on ABC, Person of Interest takes the entire concept of society being monitored to new heights, and the upcoming video game Watch Dogs has the similar concept. But of course, being that its not related to the show, the entire premise and character motivation is something of it’s own creation.
Watch Dogs takes the characters into an open-world and the role of Aiden Pearce. You could relate him to Reese from Person of Interest and the extremities he goes to help people, but it seems that Mr. Pearce has a more vengeful motivation; making for great gameplay!
From hacking into people’s phones to steal bank information and causing the traffic lights to malfunction, Mr. Pearce does anything and everything he can to accomplish his missions. And with every piece of technology in the city at his control (he’s a brilliant hacker,) there is truly no stopping him. Thus, the open-world concept is perfect for hours of wreaking havoc.
You’ll have to watch till November 19, 2013 to get your hands on this title, but the new gameplay trailer “Out of Control” surely does have me super hyped. From the graphics of the environment to the character detail and motions, I’m stoked to play Watch Dogs and experience it’s awesomeness in it’s entirety.
Watch the new trailer below. Hyped? You should be.
Usually most movies based off games end up being horrible, but if Mass Effect 3 and Gears of War could be movies, they would be pretty good. There is already talks of a ME3 movie in the works, but could you imagine what it would be like if an open-world game like Grand Theft Auto became a film?
Well, director Gevorg Karensky decided to give us a taste of what a live-action Grand Theft Auto style film could look like. Of course, you’d need fast cars, a criminal in a rugged leather jacket, and some epic party scene, followed by a shoot-out or chase scene. Yeah, that sounds like a scene from a GTA game. Well, in the Karensky directed short “GTA:Rise” you’ve got all of the ingredients of a pretty good GTA-style action scene.
If this was a feature length film, would you watch it? Heck, I would. What can I say? I like chase scene, flashy cars, leather jackets, and all things reminiscent of GTA.
Grand Theft Auto has always been one of those franchises from Rockstar Games you either love or hate. Some folks (which I’ve met) dislike the open world atmosphere and the misions, while others (like myself) love it! I been a huge GTA fan from day one, so when I heard about GTA V a few months ago, I was stoked!
Well, now I’m even more stoked. The second trailer for GTA V is officially here. Do I like it? Yes, I really really do.
Luckily because I pre-ordered Battlefield 3, I was able to get that sweet early access to Mass Effect 3 demo. The demo is pretty awesome! I could sit here and go on & on for paragraphs about how amazing it is, but I’ll devote a post to it. Right now I want to focus on some other good news, the Far Cry 3 trailer was leaked online today. Awesome! The trailer was slated to be released tomorrow, but it was leaked today. Yet, no complaints ova here. I love the trailer!
The reason I’m so excited about Far Cry 3 is because, well…I used to spend hours playing Far Cry 2. Seriously, days of my life would go missing! I’d go on major hunts for the Jackal, tapes, and get caught up in fights with groups of extremists. I mean, if it wasn’t for the open-world element then I wouldn’t have been so addicted to it, but eh, open-worlds are fun to explore!
Far Cry 2 was a pretty good game in my opinion, but I have a feeling that Far Cry 3 is going to be even better. The trailer that was leaked shows some amazing graphics, while even adding a hint of dubstep to step up the adrenaline paced action. The plot for the game is based upon the invigorating situations surrounding a tourist Jason Brody, a young man that ends up getting stranded on an island faced with turmoil & ruthless characters. There still hasn’t been much released detailing the background of the main character, but the cinematic trailer does seem to give us a glimpse of how ruthless the characters will be.
The graphics for the trailer, along with the pacing, the music, and the character acting are well put together; fans will surely be anxious for the impending release of this game in September 2012. Just watching the trailer alone made my want to replace my copy of Far Cry 2 (sold it,) but right now I’m still caught up on playing Mass Effect 2 a second time through on my PS3. So for now I will keep playing ME2, and I will be anxiously awaiting more information detailing what to expect in Far Cry 3.
