We No Speak Americano! | Yolanda Be Cool ft. Crystal Waters – “Le Bump”

Ever since hearing the infectious swing vibe of “We No Speak Americano,” I’ve been a huge fan of Yolanda Be Cool. The duo is made up of Australian producers Sylvester Martinez and Johnson “Durango Slim” Peterson, and they are well known for rocking the dance floors with their swing house track “We No Speak Americano.”

I grew up on swing music. I’m always watching the old classic films and I’m just amazed out the dance movements. In actuality, swing is on my list of dance classes I’d like to take (I also want to learn some Latin dance moves.) Hopefully within the next year I’ll be in the space to actually sign up, take a class, and commit to learning the movements. But until that day comes, I just keep doing the Charleston around the house and pointing my fingers in a jazzy-snazzy way.

“We Speak No Americano” is definitely one of those tracks by Yolanda Be Cool that I enjoy pretending to swing dance to, but their latest single “Le Bump” is a track that you can seriously dance to. It may not be as catchy as “We No Speak Americano,” but I love the vocals of Crystal Waters. I’m a huge Crystal Waters fan, and she lives in Washington, D.C., so I got to show some love. I’ve blogged about her music in the past, and I’m glad that she is making the effort to do some new music. I missed her presence on the scene, so it’s nice she’s working on music.

And what better way to get back in the scene than teaming up with Yolanda Be Cool for “Le Bump.” The track might not be as catchy as “We No Speak Americano,” but I still love it. It’s a great song! It has that jazzy swing house ring to it, and the video that accompanies it is very jazzy. Actually, the song has two music videos. But they decided to release yet another new music video today, and I like this one better than the first. This one actually has a lot more dancing! After watching the video I’m seriously thinking about just finding some swing lessons. But the moves in the video are crazy complicated swing techniques, but it would still be cool to learn more than what I know now.

But it would be nice to have a partner to “Le Bump” with…lol. So I might need to work on finding a sexy dance partner first.
