Folks have been telling me for a long time that I should start some sort of monthly, better yet, weekly podcast that has a wide range of house music. We’ll, you’ve spoken, I’ve listened, and with major support from DJ Johnny Fontana, ThinkSoul25 now has a weekly podcast!
Inspired by the love of house, Johnny Fontana has spent over a decade producing and spinning house music. He’s held residency at Miami’s globally recognized Segafredo Café, he’s played in Japan, Ibiza, and he’s played alongside Patrick M (Club Space Miami, Johnny Ramire, Dj Brun, Copyright, Mikkel Danker AKA Soulscience, Jerry Ropero, Junior Jack, JoJo Flores (Gotsoul Miami), and so many more!
Recently relocating to Washington, DC area, Johnny has teamed up with me to bring you the best in deep, soulful, funky, afro, and latin house music.
Every Tuesday a new podcast will be upload to the official ThinkSoul25 Radio soundcloud page. Each week will be based upon a theme, a feeling, and I’ll leave it up to Johnny to work his magic and bring you the best house music!
So, shall we get things started? Season 1 of ThinkSoul25 shall now commence!
With major support from DJ Sneak, Copyright, Tensnake, Robert Owens, BBC Radio 1, and so many more, this is a bangin’ EP that you can’t resist! From the moment the soulful vocals start a hollering, the thumping bass grabs you and moves you. If you’re feeling down, this is the EP to listen to; bass thumping house that will move your mind, body, and perhaps your soul!
In addition, on top of the certified awesome The Miami Money EP, you can also get two free downloads! So don’t sleep on this. Check out Christopher Issac’s ”Here On My Own” and Myles James’ “S.T.S.” Both of these epic, floorfilling, romp shaking tracks have received major plays on BBC Radio 1 and KISS FM UK. So yeah, it’s legit!
Man, I’ve come to the conclusion that house music is truly my life. I listen to it in the morning, the afternoon, the evening, and in between all of those designated time slots I find myself grooving to the sounds of house. It brings a level of joy to my life and I love sharing it with you on my blog.
So yes, I’m a house music addict, junkie, and it’s my obsession. And I don’t plan on getting help anytime soon. House makes the soul, mind, and body feel so good!
I’ve got my go-to tracks and producers, but as of late I’ve really been enjoying the works of Waze & Odyssey. I first fell in love with their track “Love That Burns (Hot Enough)” while listening to a podcast, and then I heard their Garage $ale – Bump n Grind (Waze & Odyssey Mix.)
Now, Waze & Odyssey have followed up with a new remix of Compuphonic track “Sunset” featuring Marques Toliver. I’m a huge fan of the original track, but the remix is quite a garage-house banger.
Give it a listen below…I know you’re going to love what you hear.
Kick off your weekend with some pure house from E.R.N.E.S.T.O., mixer extradordinarie! His new mix, “Bow-Tie Yourself” is exactly what you need to get your house on for the weekend, so push play and don’t stop dancing!
Not too long ago I posted his 90s Miami Mix and it’s one of my favorite mixes that I still jam to (I have it on my phone!)
