Whenever you are in the public eye, especially as a DJ, you’re bound to get mixed reception from your audience. Some people might worship the ground you walk on, while other might detest your rise to stardom. And last week, superstar DJ/producer Calvin Harris received quite the backlash from a random club goer.
While spinning a set at LIV Nightclub in Miami, Florida, one random clubgoer insisted that Calvin Harris was a sellout. She shouted for him to “Play something original!” Well, that didn’t go over too well with Mr. Harris. He had more than a mouthful to say.
He said: “Why do you come to a fucking Calvin Harris show where Calvin Harris is DJing and don’t want to hear a fucking Calvin Harris record, you dumb fucking bitch.” Oh, but it doesn’t end there. Check out the video to see what else he said.
Do you think he should have kept quiet? Or was he right for speaking up? Share your thoughts in the comments!
Do you need some love? Well, British artist/producer, Dewy Sinatra, needs a handful of love in his new track “I Need Love.”
Released not too long ago, “I Need Love” is the first single off his forthcoming record, Emma. Slated for release in September, this single gives us a good picture of what to expect from Dewy Sinatra.
Give the track a listen below and be sure to check out Mr. Dewy Sinatra (I just love saying his name) on Twitter @dewysinatra. He was born in Miami, but grew up in London. He’s got a nice hip-hop flow infused with melodic electronic production. It’s a good harmony between rhymes and electro. Check him out!

Man, I’ve come to the conclusion that house music is truly my life. I listen to it in the morning, the afternoon, the evening, and in between all of those designated time slots I find myself grooving to the sounds of house. It brings a level of joy to my life and I love sharing it with you on my blog.
So yes, I’m a house music addict, junkie, and it’s my obsession. And I don’t plan on getting help anytime soon. House makes the soul, mind, and body feel so good!
I’ve got my go-to tracks and producers, but as of late I’ve really been enjoying the works of Waze & Odyssey. I first fell in love with their track “Love That Burns (Hot Enough)” while listening to a podcast, and then I heard their Garage $ale – Bump n Grind (Waze & Odyssey Mix.)
Now, Waze & Odyssey have followed up with a new remix of Compuphonic track “Sunset” featuring Marques Toliver. I’m a huge fan of the original track, but the remix is quite a garage-house banger.
Give it a listen below…I know you’re going to love what you hear.
