GOW: Ascension is the forthcoming game in the God of War franchise, and it brings Kratos back in action with insane combos, incredibly (might I add disgusting) enemies, and all the ingredients of action, mythology, and advanced weaponry that make Kratos one of the best characters to ever hit PS3.
In the new 30 minute gameplay, we get the chance to see the new title in action. The game starts off with this ugly chick with legs, one arm, and a minion of flies that can bring things to life. From the gist of the conversation, I’m assuming she might have dated Kratos or something, but he sure does plan on kicking her ass for what she puts him through.
Now of course, unless you want to be surprised when you first play the game, then I recommend you don’t watch this video (spoilers guaranteed.)But if you can’t wait and you’re curious what you will be getting your hands on, then grab some popcorn, push play, and enjoy Kratos kicking major ass!
Kratos is the truth! I’m a huge fan of God of War, even though I often get frustrated with all the combos and how hard some of the levels can be. Yet, I think I’m totally going to pre-order God of War: Ascension. Not only does the gameplay look quite vicious, but the multiplayer mode looks like it could be a lot of fun.
God of War: Ascension debuted at E3 yesterday and it surprised fans with how promising the multiplayer mode actually looks. On various blogs I’ve noticed some speculation surrounding the prior rumors of the game having multiplayer. Some fans thought it wasn’t a good idea, while others weren’t sure exactly how you would pull that off. Kratos is awesome, so if we aren’t playing online as Kratos, then what character are we controlling?
Well, the crew behind God of War decided to put all the gamers at ease and actually showcase a preview of their multiplayer mode. The mode is called Favor of the gods and you get to work you way from an unknown hero to a hero or demi-god. You get to work with your team and aid in the effort to basically kill a huge beast. Pretty cool, right? If you enjoy playing online (I love playing online with my friends & bf,) then you might want to definitely check out God of War: Ascension.
I don’t think everyone is quite convinced yet on the multiplayer mode, but that’s quite alright. Even if the mode doesn’t live up to expectations (what should we even be expecting?) it’s still worth checking out the game for story mode. The story mode looks quite promising as well and I think fans of God of War might like it. It all really depends on your gaming preference and if you happen to be a fan of Kratos and all the bloody galore. If I may so myself, I’m more into shooting games, but I’m not going to shy away from hours of hardcore combos, bloody guts, and epic aggression. Sounds like awesomesauce.

As of late, I find myself daydreaming and drifting away in a cloud. Perhaps it’s because I find myself intoxicated with the thoughts of this charming guy I’ve been spending time with, or maybe I’m just drifting away to the sounds of music. Eh, whatever the case may be, I know that lately I’ve been feeling very emotional, passionate, and oh so creative.
It’s nice to spend time with a man that actually praises & inspires my creativity. We write songs together (he’s an amazing singer,) we discuss my paintings, and we even have time to play Mortal Kombat (he always kicks my butt when he plays as Noob Saibot, but I’m nice with Kratos.) It’s just a lot of fun getting to know one person and not having to stress out about dating around, guys not calling me back, and having to impress a bunch of people; I only have to focus on impressing one guy.
I’m not really worried about where this could lead or not, I’m just taking it one day at a time. Yet I do find myself listening to a lot of romantic & soulful songs lately, probably because he does sing R&B and gospel. So we always discuss music, melodies, and the direction his album will take. But one thing that we both have in common is a love for that soulful/jazzy sound, and Najee’s song “Just To Fall in Love” is a track that I think he will love.
I’m a huge fan of Najee, and his new album The Other Side of Soul will be officially released 3 days. I can’t wait to get a copy from iTunes, and I’m anxious to fall in love with more soulful-jazzy tracks. The best part of his single “Just To Fall In Love” is the amazing flute player. I played flute for 7 years and was playing it the other day, so I’m a huge fan of a beautiful flute on a smooth jazz track. It just takes over and sends you into a dreamlike state; a place where true love is possible & happiness is always just right around the corner.
If you’re looking for a great track with that romantic vibe, then check out “Just To Fall In Love.” It’s smooth-romantic-jazz that can speak to your soul, and perhaps be a soundtrack for those out there in “young love.” You know, the type of love that is fresh & still unexplored. But yet it feels right “just to fall in love,” even if you don’t know where you’re heading or what will happen next. The uncertainty is what makes it so exciting!
