Man, I’ve come to the conclusion that house music is truly my life. I listen to it in the morning, the afternoon, the evening, and in between all of those designated time slots I find myself grooving to the sounds of house. It brings a level of joy to my life and I love sharing it with you on my blog.
So yes, I’m a house music addict, junkie, and it’s my obsession. And I don’t plan on getting help anytime soon. House makes the soul, mind, and body feel so good!
I’ve got my go-to tracks and producers, but as of late I’ve really been enjoying the works of Waze & Odyssey. I first fell in love with their track “Love That Burns (Hot Enough)” while listening to a podcast, and then I heard their Garage $ale – Bump n Grind (Waze & Odyssey Mix.)
Now, Waze & Odyssey have followed up with a new remix of Compuphonic track “Sunset” featuring Marques Toliver. I’m a huge fan of the original track, but the remix is quite a garage-house banger.
Give it a listen below…I know you’re going to love what you hear.
French Express is one of my favorite labels that consistently delivers unique house music with a imaginative flair. Each track possesses a unique quality that can be either insanely deep with hints of romance or whimsical with electro flair.
French Express artists such as Perseus, Jonas Rathsman, and Chris Malinchak, truly know how to put great tracks together. And the BBC Essential Mix compiled by Perseus and Jonas Rathsman, is a great collection of tracks that exemplify house, French Express, and good music!
I highly recommend you take advantage of this free download and add this list to your must-have mixes of 2013. Such a beautiful mix that keeps the momentum going from the first beat. You’ll hear some of your favorite tracks, including some music from my personal favorite, Maya Jane Coles.
This mix is unique, and according to La.Ga.Sta. Perseus said,
“Club tracks rotate by the month and this mix had to go beyond that. This mix is an essential snapshot of what French Express stands for, an amalgamation of tunes selected by the combined tastes of the label, for the listener, without getting too historical, tributary, or knee deep in personal inspiration-lending music of our pasts.”
The track list is massive, so set aside some hours to just sip on a cold one, close your eyes, and get lost in the music….
