It might have came out in December 2012 (as if that’s so long ago,) but I’m still blasting Copyright’s Lifted EP. Out of all the Defected releases from Copyright, this one happens to be my favorite!
The London-based duo, Copyright, has been pumping out some great heavy-bass infused house hits over the years, but “Lifted” is one that is just oh-so funky! The beat progression is simply deep and bass-driven with hints of subtle percussion, but the vocal elements make this track a funky soul experience.
The original “Lifted” mix is surely one that makes you want to have a spiritual experience, but the Pablo Fierro Mix is for getting down and dirty on the dancefloor; spirit fingers welcome.
Check out the original mix and the delicious Pablo Fierro Mix. Gosh, I can’t get enough of it. Oh, and can we talk about the video accompanying the remix? SEXY!!!!
You know what time it is! Waze & Odyssey are back in the house with a banging new EP, “Hold Up (Yeah You.)”
Being released exclusively W&O Street Tracks, “Hold Up (Yeah You)” is yet another delicious banger from the UK based house duo. In the tradition of making the classic house vibes a modern day essential, this track is the quintessential balance of old school bass (think 90s club anthems,) vocals, and a fresh production quality.
Give it a spin below. Do you need this track in your life? Yes…you do.
OUT on MAY 29th
I’m back! I haven’t had the chance to blog due to working on a big project involving thousands of pictures for Hearst, but I’m done with my section of the project, so now I return to you with a handful of new music! So, to kick things off, here is a brand new release from Disclosure.
The track, “You & Me” featuring the vocals of Eliza Doolittle was released a few days ago, but now the official music video is here. It’s a decent track, but I still prefer “Latch.” Call me biased, but that will always be my favorite Disclosure track.

Kick off your weekend right with a heavy dosage of bass, vocals, and the certified awesomeness that is Issac Christopher & Myles James‘ The Miami Money EP.
With major support from DJ Sneak, Copyright, Tensnake, Robert Owens, BBC Radio 1, and so many more, this is a bangin’ EP that you can’t resist! From the moment the soulful vocals start a hollering, the thumping bass grabs you and moves you. If you’re feeling down, this is the EP to listen to; bass thumping house that will move your mind, body, and perhaps your soul!
OUT NOW ON BEATPORT and iTunes, so what are you waiting for? Get it…NOW!
In addition, on top of the certified awesome The Miami Money EP, you can also get two free downloads! So don’t sleep on this.
