So I stayed up last night watching some documentaries and movies with my mom and brother. We started the night off watching Kung Fu Dunk on Netflix (by the guy who made Shaolin Soccer, so hilarious!) and then we watched … Continue reading

Hilarious and Random SNL

Having access to over hundreds of channels and shows to satisfy the needs of every complex or simple personality.I find that my favorite television nights are Thursday’s and Saturdays.

I love NBC Thursday’s! Community, the Office, 30 Rock, and Parks and Recreation are some of my favorite shows. Also, I do enjoy watching Modern Family on ABC Wednesday night, but their lineup isn’t as hilarious as NBC.

Saturday Night Live is one of my favorite shows, not to forget Delocated, Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Curb Your Enthusiasm. I’ve been watching SNL for many years now with my mom and it has become a Saturday night ritual. We grab a bowl of popcorn or some ice cream, she sits in her comfy chair and I lay out on the couch. Within the first few moments of the show we figure out what movies the host is in, most of the time it’s some person my mom doesn’t know. She will be like "Isn’t that that one guy who played in that movie about some girl falling in love, etc?" I sit there and smile, then I’m like "no mom, that’s not Rob Lowe or some mainstream white actor like James Franco." After trying to figure out what movies the host played in, we end up having me google it on my Blackberry and wait around for the digital short, commercial spoofs, and other hilarious antics.

Recently, SNL has been bring their A+ game! I’d say that last Saturday’s episode with former cast member Dana Carvey was entertaining and the week before with Nicki Minaj was a pleasant surprise. I’m not a huge fan of her music, but her comedic timing and outlandish personality worked well for her on SNL. With Jay Pharoah, Andy Samberg, Nicki Minaj, Keenan Thompson Dana Carvey, and the other regular cast members, the past two episodes of SNL were amusing and hard to forget.

Check out some of the skits below, including the Digital Shorts, commercial spoofs, and Dana Carvey’s "Church Chat". Also a few other clips from prior episodes that will crack you up!

I Sleep Pro (man some people think it’s racist, but not going to lie I can’t sleep without all those sounds either! I go to sleep listening to the Marc train going by late night, dogs barking, base in the townhouse next door bumping, late night arguments and conversations, and it’s the best sleep ever!)
