Follow DJ Premier, Mark Ronson, Skrillex, Pretty Lights and The Crystal Method as they remix, recreate and re-imagine five traditional styles of music. From the classical perfection of the Berklee Symphony Orchestra to the bayou jams of New Orleans jazz, our five distinctive DJs collaborate with some of today’s biggest musicians to discover how our musical past is influencing the future.

I absolutely can’t wait to see more from this innovative music project. They’ve got all my favorite DJ’s, and they are going to do some creative re-imagining of traditional music. It’s not like they are just taking tracks and remixes them, but they are actually collaborating with some of the biggest musicians and crafting new music.

Skrillex has already teamed up with The Doors (like one of the best bands ever!) for a collaboration called “Breakn’ A Sweat” and it was released a few days ago. It’s such an amazing track that seamlessly combines Skrillex’s dubstep & electronic sound with The Doors classic rock vibe.

If that track is any indication of what we can expect from these project, then I can’t wait to see what they will release next!
