NYE Fashion | The Hilarious-Awkward-Kind-of-Cool Flashy Disco Tuxedo Jacket

NYE is right around the corner! I still have no idea what the heck I’m doing, and I really have no idea what I’m going to wear either. But I must say the men out there have a lot of options to pick from this year, including this hilarious yet kind of cool flashy Disco Tuxedo Jacket.

Maybe it’s just the hilarious print ads for the jacket, but there is something that is sort of cool about it. Question is, if a guy walked up to me wearing this, would I talk to him? The answer is yes, I would marry that man. He must have a boss-awesome personality to be that daring to wear a Flashy Disco Tuxedo Jacket. Oh and if has the matching pants, wow, sign me up for a date! LOL Mr. Personality :)

P.S. There is more disco themed items. And in general, this clothing line, Betabrand, has a lot of awesome cool clothes work checking out.

Bowties are Cool!!!

Honestly I could just leave the title at that ladies and gentlemen. There’s nothing else that really needs to be said. This is just a true fact of life. A realization that will bring one to the point of enlightenment, and have them chilling with Buddha  eating ding dongs trying their hardest not to step on grasshoppers…All life is sacred you know, or something like that. I don’t remember how that all goes. Personally I hate grasshoppers. They think they’re so cool because they can hop far and consistently. I could hop far if I felt like it!

But anyway, Bowties are absolutely grand. Just think about the word for a minute and tell me that you don’t smile and giggle like a giddy little four year old? Tell me! Tell me and I won’t believe you because that’s simply not possible. What is there not to love? How can you not love it? You can become a walking talking Christmas present! You could stick the bow tie in peoples faces and tell them to unwrapped the present! That present being your naked body. That’s fun, and who doesn’t want to be a Christmas present? No one! …or everyone? Whichever one means the opposite of my sarcastic question.

So, who do we have to thank for this, let’s face it, superb piece of fabric? Croatians of course. Who didn’t know that? Obviously the Croatians croating and stuff doing that Croaty fantasticness. Who else could think of something so brilliant besides Croatians? They’re awesome! Granted I just found that out on Wikipedia, but if I hadn’t looked that up I’m sure I would’ve felt it in my soul somehow and guessed it correctly. I just like to support the web. It also says ties got started because they used scarfs to keep their shirts held together. Was that an issue? How was that a thing? Buttons seem to get that job done pretty well. I mean I love ties. I have a few neckties I hug before I go to sleep every night, but I never had an instance where my shirts togetherness, and in turn my life, relied upon a tie being tied around my neck. I mean buttons do a fantastic job on their own. I always thought ties were for making me look pretty?

Can we just agree that bow ties are cool and be done with it? No I’m not saying this because I want to be a Time lord. Well I do kind of want to be a Time lord….I definitely want to be a Time lord! I always mention Time lords. I like Time lords. Not all Time lords wear ties, but some do, so my mentioning them is justified!

In conclusion, bow ties are cool, Time lords are awesome, they don’t have to correlate, and I plan on putting on one awesome tie of perfection soon and going on some adventures. I might end up getting arrested though for my potential shenanigans, because I can’t bend the fabric of space and time. I’m working on it though. Also I don’t actually own a bow tie, but I know what’s up.

House | The Layabouts ft. Kathy Brown – “Choices (Restless Soul Vocal Mix)”

Good afternoon/morning/evening everyone (depending upon where in the world your located.) It’s been three days since I’ve blogged and I’ve terribly missed sharing the cool things I’ve found with you guys. But it was the holiday weekend, so I think it was nice to take that time out and just spend it with family. As I stated in my last post I didn’t really have a big Christmas this year, just cooked and spent time with family. Oh, and most of my day I spent playing Battlefield 3 & Modern Warfare.

Christmas this year was honestly just another day, but it was great spending it with family.  It also gave me the time to reflect back on the year, and how 2012 is just right around the corner. I made a lot of choices in 2011, some good, some bad. But life is all about learning from the choices we make, so when I reflect back on all my choices I pat myself on the back. Life is too short to not make choices, take a chance, and dare to dream.

In 2012 I have a lot of choices I know I’ll need to make, especially considering the fact I graduate college in the summer. I have to seriously map out a plan (of course things are subject to change, but least I have a guiding direction.) 2012 is going to be a new start for me. No more friendships that are just a waste of space, and no more settling for men that just don’t treat me right. 2012 is my time to shine. A time for me to transition into a new level of adulthood and independence that comes after college. It’s going to be another year filled with choices, but I think it will be filled with choices that won’t leave my soul restless.

As usual, every time I began reflecting on my life or a concept, I always run across a house song that perfectly fits the context. So when I began thinking about choices and the year ahead, I actually ended up hearing a song related to choices. The song was a house song by The Layabouts and it featured the vocals of Kathy Brown. The song is called “Choices,” but the Restless Soul Vocal Mix is the version that stands out amongst the rest. The soulful beat gives Kathy Brown’s vocals a chance to shine, but the chorus makes you just want to get down on the dance floor. The song makes you want to step, dream, believe, and make choices.

UPDATE: The SONG GOT TAKEN OFF YOUTUBE! :( But here is the DUB Mix
