Awesomesauce | Stop-Motion Karate (VIDEO)

The folks over at Corridor Digital have unleashed a new viral video called “Stop-Motion Karate” and it’s totally #awesomesauce.

Basically the video is a quirky story of what happens when two guys try to win a girl’s heart and duke it out kung fu style. The twist? Well, it’s shot in stop-motion style sort of like the oldschool NES game, Karateka.

Check out the visuals and be sure to peep out the behind-the-scenes footage on how this incredible stop-motion video was shot using a GoPro.

Awesomesauce | My Favorite #E32015 Trailers

I know I know, I’m super “late” when it comes to posting this, especially in the realm of social media. But hey, give a girl a break. I’ve got a busy life, a demanding career, a relationship, bills, and an adorable stubborn cat(her name is Tibby).

But somehow, in the mist of everything I’ve been dealing with, I managed to watch the live streams of #E32015 and walk away incredibly impressed by the forthcoming titles this holiday season.

If you’re like me and declare yourself an avid gamer (I’m on #teamxbox), then you already have immersed yourself in the #E3 coverage of the most anticipated games: Fallout 4, Halo 5: Guardians, Mass Effect 4, Need for Speed, and (for some) Gears of War.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Being the sci-fi enthusiast that I am, I’m insanely stoked about Mass Effect: Andromeda.I’ve been a huge fan of that IP (cool kid slang for “intellectual property”) since its inception. And seeing how the events unfolded in the last game, I’ve been craving to see what BioWare will amaze us with next.

If you saw the announcement trailer, then you too were beyond amazed. But if you missed the heavy dosage of awesomesauce, then experience the greatness right here:

Fallout 4

If any game were to encourage my boyfriend to get another geeky gamer tattoo (along side his badass Skyrim wrist tatt), then Fallout 4 would be the game.

Sidenote: yes, my boyfriend has a Skyrim tattoo and it’s quite the conversation starter wherever we go. Fellow geeks always comment on it, and it helped us get through several TSA checkpoints when we travelled to St. Thomas.

Anyways, before I digress any further, let’s get into Fallout 4.Wow, did you see how amazing the gameplay looks? If the trailer reveal two weeks ago wasn’t enough to amaze you, then the #E3 coverage will knock your socks off! This time around, we’ve got better graphics, enhanced weaponry, an intuitive “homestead” building feature, and more nuclear wasteland awesomesauce.

Check it out:

Can’t get enough? Then here’s the 30 minute showcase.

Halo 5: Guardians

To be honest, I never played much of the story for Halo. When I first switched from Sony to Microsoft, I got sucked into playing Gears of War and following the story (can’t help but to love Dom).

However, this next game in the Halo franchise looks incredible! It will certainly satisfy my need for a FPS (I’m over COD). But once Xbox One gets backwards compatibility, I”ll have to revisit some of the earlier games to learn more about Master Chief and the Halo  universe.

We’ve All Got a Need For Speed

Forza 6 might be the most beautiful racing game coming out this Fall, but Need For Speed is where my love for going fast begins.

I remember when my mom used to make trips to Blockbuster to rent video games for me, and she’d always bring back new games. I always played the typical shooting and adventure games, but she introduced me to racing by encouraging me to play Need for Speed. I never knew I wanted to go fast until I got my hands on that game, which is probably why I secretly dream of having the skills to be a badass driver at 120 MPH.

For now I’ll stick to driving the speed-limit (5-15 miles above), and I’ll let video games continue to fulfill my racing dreams…and after seeing the gameplay footage of the new NFS, I’m falling back in love with the idea of going fast.

#TeamXbox

There are so many great games coming out this Holiday season, and I’m enthused that backwards compatibility will allow me to play some of my oldschool Xbox favorites.

If you happen to be on Xbox, feel free to add me @thinksoul25.

What games are you looking forward to the most? Comment and share your thoughts!

Pure Magic | The Magician – Magic Tape 51

Hey house music lovers, geeks, travelers, and awesome people, how’s it going?! Sorry I haven’t been blogging much, I’ve been crazy busy at work (Travel Channel).

My job as a designer/video editor can be pretty hectic and a lot of fun, but I’m still always going to love blogging about house music and my adventures (including my upcoming Caribbean vacation.) But before we get to all that fun stuff,  I’ve got so much good music I’ve been dying to share with you.

Let’s kick the night off with some wicked grooves from The Magician.

Full of absolute bangers, The Magician’s “Magic Tape 51″ is a wicked ride into the sounds of house and dance music. So let’s not delay this ride any further, and jump right in:

Fresh Vibes | James Curd x Yeah Boy – ‘Let’s Bounce’

If you’re looking for a bouncy pop-infused edit, then you’ll want to check out James Curd’s new single “Let’s Bounce” featuring Yeah Boy.

Reminiscent of a 70s disco anthem and exuding hipster vibes, “Let’s Bounce” is a fun-filled track that will have you sweatin’ it out on the dancefloor.

Awesomesauce | BaneCat Strikes Back! (Video)

The internet is full of cat videos ranging from adorable to hilarious, but one video that truly changed the game was “BaneCat.”

Basically, a few months ago this guy decided to make a parody of Bane (you know, Batman’s nemesis,) and instead of repeating the same cliche parodies we’ve seen on the web, he decided to turn his cat into Bane.

Say hello to BaneCat. He’s difficult to understand, he’s sneaky, he’s clever, he’s an asshole, and yet he’s hilariously cute. And now, he has returned to the internet in a second episode.

Check it out. Hopefully we’ll see more of these in the future. And if not, at least we’ve got the awesomeness to enjoy for the time being.

Awesomesauce | Jonah Hill ‘Her’ Movie Spoof – ‘Me’ (VIDEO)

Last night, Jonah Hill hosted Saturday Night Live and while most of the skits were decently funny, the best was his hilarious spoof of Spike Jonze’s film, Her.

In the same way Her is about a guy falling in love with his phone’s OS, Jonah’s spoof follows the same premise, except his OS sounds just like him and has the same personality. Basically, he is in love with himself.

The whole Spike Jonze concept is creepy, but apparently it’s a really good movie. And I hadn’t planned on seeing it, but after watching this “Me” spoof, I might have to see what it’s all about.

ME

Oh, and in case you missed the opening monologue from SNL, be sure to check it out.

“Yes, Rose. Yes, you’re flying.”
