Awesomesauce | MickeyMau5

I saw this awhile back on the Disney Channel and I forgot to post it! October is almost over, but it’s still a really cool video.

Enjoy!

Awesomesauce | Sports Beauty [HQ Slow Motion Montage]

I haven’t played any sports in a long time. I mean, I did use to play volleyball from a young age up to high school, but by a series of unfortunate events I got slight boutonniere deformity in my right hand. Now if you Google boutonniere deformity you’ll run across some series cases, but mine isn’t too extreme. Yet, I still can’t full straighten my fingers on my right hand, which makes playing volleyball and controlling the ball a painful experience.

Luckily, I can still stay active and enjoy other activities, but I do plan on taking up a sport again. But even if it takes me some time to figure out what sport I want to play, I can still enjoy watching sports. Ya know, the Summer Olympics are right around the corner, so I’m stoked about that. :)

Yes, I’m anxious to watch the Olympics, but there are other cool sports dedicated visuals out there worth watching as well. One visual that caught my attention is this beautiful HQ slow motion montage of athletes doing what they do best, be amazingly active.

The video is called Sports Beauty and it’s a bunch of awesomesauce visuals set to a beautiful song called “Adagio in D minor (Bombastic)” by John Murphy.

Awesomesauce | I’m Too Old For This Sh*t

So I  only turn 21 next month, so I’ve got probably another decade or longer before I can use the iconic phrase “I’m too old for this shit.” It would just be ridiculous, yet hilarious funny for me to use that in conversation. I suppose if the context is right and someone is acting extremely immature, then of course it would be perfect to whip out that catchphrase.

But usually whenever that line is used in movies, especially in Lethal Weapon, it’s always said by someone of a “certain age.” And usually people of a certain age always often complain when faced with a high level of foolishness, so it’s fitting that the folks over HuffPost Entertainment made a mash up video of all the times in movies when people have said “I’m too old for this shit.”

The video is awesomesauce! Mainly because I’ve seen a lot of the movies or at least the clips in which the person is using that iconic statement to explain why they don’t want to do something. It’s just such a timeless catchphrase, but it’s still the best when Danny Glover says “I’m too old for this shit.”

Awesomesauce | Real Life GoldenEye 64

Sadly I don’t own my N64 anymore, but love reminiscing about the day of playing Super Mario 64, Banjo Kazooie, and GoldenEye 007 64. It was one of the first games that really got me into action games, first-person shooting, and just being the ultimate badass. Like seriously, how much cooler can you get than James Bond?

GoldenEye 64 was notably one of the first-person shooters, and it’s has held great significance throughout the years in gaming. I can’t even begin to recall how many times they have brought back the title; it seems as though they are constantly reviving it and attempting to make it better. But the original is such an iconic classic, it just doesn’t need to be brought into the next generation. I like it being old school. I’d say the only way you can bring it into the next generation is if you do a real-life version, which is exactly what YouTube Warialasky  decided to do.

As gamers, we’ve all experience vehement frustration in having to cooperate deal with NPCs (non-playable characters for those not adverse in gaming references.) Sometimes the NPCs are easy to work with, but sometimes they can just be an annoying hassle. It’s like, why must this character even exist? Well the team over at Alasky understands this frustration, and in their real-life GoldenEye 64 video they remind us gamers how much we hated escorting Natalya around. She was just so useless! And then when you did need her to move, she got in front of you in the middle of action and you accidentally killed her (that’s what happens in the video.)

The video isn’t one of those high quality productions that we’ve been seeing on YouTube lately, but it’s still a great video that was spurred from innovative frustration. It’s surely a cool tribute to the classic N64 game GoldenEye 007, so check out the video below & enjoy a few laughs while reminiscing about how much Natalya got on your nerves.

Awesomesauce | Space Stallions

We all know about Thundercats & Transformers, but what about Space Stallions? I know the title perhaps sounds like a bunch of amazing stallions (well they do ride these robotic looking horses) living in space, but it’s actually the coolest 80s cartoon to ever be invented, but wait…it never actually existed.

The animated cartoon is the latest viral video that has been making it’s rounds throughout the Web. The video is by the students of at the Animation Workshop. The video is basically telling the 80s infused story of four warriors that must fight evil in a distant realm.

The entire vibe of the video screams 80s, and the 80s electropop music just makes it even better. I’m not going to lie, I actually wish Space Stallions was a real cartoon; I’d never miss an episode. I’d grab a bowl of a big bowl of cereal, and would sit in front of the television (I’d even suffer through commercials.)

Maybe this video will keep making a prescene on the web and will catch the attention of a major network. That would be awesome if it could actually get turned into a cartoon, but for now we will have to just enjoy the brief video showcasing the Space Stallions and their 80s-awesomesauce-powers.

Jessie J | “Domino” Official Music Video

2011 is almost over, but that doesn’t mean artists can’t pump out new music videos. I’m sure a lot of artists, and well people, have a lot of things to do before 2011 ends. Sometimes you’ve got some lose ends to tie before the year is over, or perhaps an adventure you’d like to go on before 2012 hits. Whatever the case may be, one thing I do know is that British pop star Jessie J decided to release her music video for “Domino” in the past few days.

I enjoyed seeing Jessie J perform “Domino” on the VH1 Divas Special, but I’m definitely enjoying the music video. The 23-year-old pop star is showing off her vibrant personality and wearing a bunch of outside-the-box outfits. It’s Jessie J, so you know she wasn’t going to do a video that was “normal.” Some people say Jessie J is trying to be like Katy Perry, Katy Perry is trying to be like Lady Gaga, and Lady Gaga is trying to be like Madonna. Eh, everyone copies off each other or is inspired. That’s just how creativity works.

Whether Jessie J is like a British Katy Perry or not, one thing I do know is that she has a better voice than Katy Perry (and I like Katy Perry!) “Domino” is such an awesome song, and it makes me feel so girly. I just want to go skip around and sing about how awesome a guy makes me feel. Ah, step one: Run into an awesome guy that can “spin me out of control.” Yup, sounds like awesomesauce.

Ah, I love this song!

Awesomesauce: BF3 IRL (Battlefield 3 In Real Life) & Jedi Ninjas

Check out what the creators of the video above had to say about it:

“The video was developed as a passion project to recreate the current style of Star Wars action seen in video games into live action. This style often combines elements of Force powers with the use lightsaber combat. As there are no upcoming live action Star Wars movies to this date, this was a project to make many of the fans’ dreams into a reality.”

I could have immediately started off this post discussing the topic of this post, Battlefield 3, but I had to post the video above first. It seems that there has been the rising trend of videogame IRL(in real life) viral videos, and I must say I’m loving this trend! The video above is just one of the many #IRL videos that has been hitting the web and becoming viral sensations. The video is just one of the many videos by Gak Attack, a Toronto based crew that has become known for their high quality footage, original concepts, and mind blowing professional stunt team (in this video the stunt team is Team 2x.)

The Jedi Ninjas video is pretty spectacular, but I’ll have to admit I’m really feeling the Battlefield 3 IRL video. It was just released a few days ago on YouTube by NoFrontier100 and it’s another viral video that is being passed around the media circuit. I’m telling you guys, you’ve got to stay on top of the social media trends. So many amazing viral videos are coming out every single day. It’s mind-blowing!

Even though I play Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 almost every single day (what can I say, I’m a COD fan,) I still also play Battlefield 3. It’s a great game! Both of the games are really good in my opinion, but I still enjoy the online play of MW3 more in comparision to playing online with BF3. However, watching this new viral video “Battlefield 3 Real Life Battle” did inspire me to go pick up the controller and hop on some BF3. Yet, I doubt I’m going to do that anytime soon. I’m still working on my rank in Mw3 (currently 58. Lt. Colonel II.)

Whether I go play Battlefield 3 right now or next week, I still will admit that this video below is awesomesauce. The video takes place in a Team Deathmatch setting, and it has all the essential components: med packs, reloading, heavy breathing after a quick sprint, and even a near-death moment. You know the moment when the screen gets all hazy and you can hear the pulsating heartbeat? Yup, it’s got that too. I’m telling you guys, these independent filmmakers and crews are doing it big with these viral videos. Hollywood who? Pssst! It’s all about being a mega viral sensation, and if you can get a Hollywood actor/actress in it, then you’re really making it big.

The video below doesn’t have any mega stars in it, but it’s still a cool video that I’m sure Battlefield 3 gamers will like. Eh, even if you don’t like the video or the game, you’ve still have to give it praise for the creativity. At the end of the day that’s what matters the most…
