After fighting through 2 hours of traffic and maneuvering my way out of 495′s rush hour nightmare, I’m finally well-feed (big salad for dinner,) relaxed and able to blog before heading to bed. There are many things I’d love to post at this moment, but I’ll have to take care of that in the morning. So shall we finish the night off with some rare Gomma classics remixed by Jacques Renalt? Yes, we shall.
Brooklyn-based DJ/Producer Jacques Renalt has released a delicious 60-minute mix for Gomma Records, a Germany-based label who’s Moullinex, Mercury, and a handful of artists that produce house and other variants of EDM.
The mix, 100% Gomma, takes some of the rare 12 inch tracks and gives them a fresh new facelift. Jacques Renalt surely knows what he’s doing and this mix is a smooth, boogie-infused ride.

With production by Julio Bashmore (who will be playing @ U Street Music Hall this Friday,) it would be insane not to fall madly in love with Jessie Ware’s hit single, “Imagine It Was Us.”
The UK-based soul singer shows us how to dance and have a good-ass time living it up! The track is addictive, but the music video is even more-so an eye-catcher. From the fabulous guys dancing, the club-scene popping, and the drinks flowing, there is no way you could hate these video.
Check out the video and groove to the addictive vocals of Jessie Ware and the majestic bass lines courtesy of Julio Bashmore.

My heart screams for that soulful and deep house, but I’m in the mood for some nu-disco “Casual Affairs.” Yes, that’s right, I’m “cheating” on my beloved soulful house with some funky nu-disco from Casual Affair. It feels so wrong, but feels so right!
This bangin’ latest release by Casual Affair has been served up with a sexy nu-disco Balcazar & Sordo and Raffa FL Remix, and it’s bound to tease you with moments of eargasmic pleasures…
Give it a listen below!
Jamie Jones has done it again! His new Essential Mix for Radio 1 is a two-hour set of awesomeness!
From the mediterranean/classic nu-wave vibe starting off the mix, each track thereafter flows together. It’s a surreal experience, and for a limited time only you can download it now for free!
Yes, that’s right. Get it free…right now, download it!
P.S. He mixed it straight from his laptop, so there isn’t any radio noise or interruptions; straight music.
French label,KITSUNÉ, has had a handful of great releases covering the genre of Nu Disco. In the past I’ve checked out a few of their artists and I’ve been digging what I’ve heard, but I must say I’m really impressed with Crayon & Pyramid’s label debut EP So Far Gone.
The EP is the perfect Nu Disco soundtrack to vibe to over a Blue Moon and some Converse sneakers. Weird combination, but that is the first thing that comes to mind. You’ve got to get your hipster on when listening to this EP.
It might sound like something you’d say after an awkward (or failed joke), but Just Kiddin is an insanely dope house music production duo from Leicester, Britain. Even though they are UK based, their music is internationally recognized and their first EP of 2013 was released last week on New York Based label, Nurvous Records.
Intimacy is the new EP from Just Kiddin and it’s a certified awesome collection of massive house tracks. The three tracks “I Want U,” “Soul Drop,” and “Pray” are recognized as “three of their strongest tracks to date.” With these massive releases, the Just Kiddin is adding more accolades to their status quo as a strong force to be reckoned with in the house music community.
Peep the three tracks below, as well as the official music video for “I Want U.” If you love what you’re hearing, then head over to Beatport and buy the EP. Click here to buy! :

Stockholm-based record label Local Talk recently released a bangin’ new EP that is strictly for the house headz. If you like house, wait no, If you love house, then you need to check out Talking House Vol.1.
The EP has a great selection of tracks that were selected by Mad Mats + Tooli. Now if this is your first time getting down with house, then you need to listen to Fubert’s track, “First Time House.” It has a pure house vibe that is reminiscent of the classics.
For those of you who like your bass hard, raw, and hard (emphasis on hard,) then you’ll like DJ Steaw’s track “Sky Hunt.“
The EP has a lot of great tracks, so you owe it to yourself to give them all a listen. But if you’re feeling moody, then jam out to the sounds of Dirtytwos “Moody (Original Mix.)”
My favorites: “Moody,” “Heart Attack,”"MAW Basics (Gerd’s NY Stomp Mix)”
