Dance With Me | OK Go’s Stunning New Music Video – ‘Skyscrapers’

I’m a sucker for romance, especially when it involves a sexy, yet oh so sensual tango. So when I saw OK Go’s new music video, “Skyscrapers,” I immediately fell in love with the video, as well as the song (my first time hearing the track.)

The song has influences from Prince, which makes it an even more amazing track. OK Go has a great innovative approach to their music, and “Skyscrapers” really takes you deep into the moment, leaving your on the edge of your seat at the end of every word…..

Such a beautiful song, with such an even more beautiful video to match. The concept of dancing from one color to another color is quite riveting. Watching the video makes me want to grab a partner and learn how to tango. Oh, and let me not to forget to the mention the outfits. I love the female dancer’s dresses. They are so pretty! Summer is around the corner, so now I’m inspired to really go dress shopping. :)

Awesomesauce | OK Go – “Needing/Getting” (Official Music Video)

I haven’t really paid much attention to OK Go, but I do recall being a fan of their music in high school. I distinctly remember falling in love with their video “Here It Goes Again” (the video with them running on the treadmills.)

The band is known for doing unique things when it comes to music & their music videos, so I wasn’t really shocked when they released their new innovative video for their song “Needing/Getting.”

The video was made in partnership with Chevrolet, and it took 4 months of preparation for them to gather the 1000 instruments used to make the song complete. With four days of shooting, the guys (no stunt men or stand-ins) where able to successfully pull off an innovative music video. Seriously, it’s awfully difficult to make music using a car and a bunch of instruments strategically placed on a course.

I imagine it must have been extremely tedious filming this music video, but I’m sure the guys also must have had a great time. I would have loved to have been a part of the production crew. Strategically placing 1000 instrumentals in a kooky driving course must have been a lot of fun; resulting in a video that is awesomesauce!
