Driving across the country can be tedious for some folks, but for me it’s a form of therapy. I like to just sit in the car by myself, cruise along the highway, and blast some deep, soulful, and tech house. My drive this past weekend would have been a nightmare if I hadn’t made some nice house mixes featuring some of my favorite mixes I’ve posted on this blog, as well as tracks I’ve found.
One of the tracks I couldn’t get enough of was this alluring song that uses a sample of Justin Timberlake’s “My Love.” However, the sad reality is that it was actually a track in RUFUS “Back to Cali” mix, so I couldn’t play it on repeat. But I didn’t mind listening to the RUFUS mix over and over again just to hear the beautiful song that gave me an insatiable eargasm.
The song that is responsible for the eargasm is called “Paris Is For Lovers” and it is a beautiful deep house/acid song by Fet Et Moi. The original lyrics are of course by the lovely Justin Timberlake, and the deep house/acid vibe makes the lyrics even stronger.
As I drove there I just kept reminiscing about relationships, men I’ve dealt with, and how tough love is, yet it’s so satisfying. Love is addicting, exciting, and sometimes it can feel so surreal. It’s not a word that should be thrown around, but I’ll admit I have used it loosely in the past. Which is why kids, it’s important to realize when you’re in the mindset for a relationship! And…I’m just not there. I’m about to graduate college, plotting a move to California, and I really enjoy being single and having options. But that doesn’t mean I’m anti-love, especially when a song as beautiful as this one knows how to blow my mind…
