Whew, the past few days and the weekend have been crazy! I didn’t even go out partying in DC or hang out with friends over the weekend, mainly because I was feeling under the weather. And on top of that, I spent my weekend working on my new freelance contract as a professional resume writer (it feels good to be on a contract that pays really good.) So it’s nice to pick up the freelancing again and still have time to devote time to something I love, my blog.

So a lot has happened in the blogosphere world of music, and today I’m using this time to catch up on some mixes I missed.

One of those mixes that I just found out about is an awesome new mixtape that is truly pure magic. You’ve heard of The Magician...right? Well I could go on and on about who The Magician is, but he is actually kind of a mystery. But one thing everyone knows about him is that he knows how to put together mixes and tracks that have an infectious house sound, and sometimes it’s filled with hints of disco.

Best moment of the mixtape? For me it’s the 20:25 marker. That is when it gets real disco, funky, and so housey! Man, just listening to it is getting so pumped up to see Dennis Ferrer & Andre Homme on Friday @ U Street Music Hall in D.C. Ah, can’t wait to house all night long!!!
