You Can Never Go Wrong With a Maya Jane Coles Remix

When it comes to listening to original deep house tracks and remixes, my go-to DJs/producers are Maceo Plex and the eccentric sensation, Maya Jane Coles.

I love my house to be deep, sexy, and occasionally edgy with hints of erotic persuasion. I love the beats to intoxicate my mind, body, and soul, and cause me to get lost in a state of abstract euphoria. Songs such as   Maceo Plex’s “Sex Appeal,”   “Your Style,” and Maya Jane Coles’ “The High Life” are tracks that have that sexy deep appeal that I can’t get enough of.

Ever since her running across her track “What They Say” a little over a year ago, I’ve been a fan of the young (she’s 24) producer/DJ from the UK. She’s got such an eccentric quality in her personal style, and her talent is unparalleled when it comes to the production of deep house.

Not only is she super talented, but she represents for all the females out there that have made a name for themselves as forces to be reckoned with. Speaking of females that DJ and produce, back in April I wrote an article for a EDM site about the presence of females in the EDM DJ community. Read it here.

Maya Jane Coles has some amazing original tracks, but you can never go wrong with giving her the freedom to cut loose and do a remix.  Maya has remixed some great songs that are house and others that are variants of electronic, but I love her touch on Maceo Plex’s deep house track “Your Style.” She took a song that was already deep…and made it even deeper.

Listen + watch the remix of Bo Saris’ track “She’s On the Fire”

I love Florence & The Machine and Maya Jane Coles served up a fresh remix of “Spectrum”

Shall we go deeper? Yes, lets get deep!
