Awesomesauce | Pogo’s Wizard of Meh Remix + More Remixes

Less than an hour ago I wrote a post about remixes and posted Kirby Ferguson’s TED Talks “Embrace the Remix.” So what better way to continue today’s theme of remixing, than posting a video by one of the coolest remixers on YouTube, Pogo.

24-year-old Christopher Nicholas “Nick” Bertke (better known as Pogo) has made quite the name for himself as an electronic musician known for his witty remixing skills. His videos have been creating the buzz for quite some time due to the creative editing of footage, as well as the remixing and mashing of sounds, movie lines, and anything else that Pogo wants to incorporate into a remix.

You rarely ever see him in any of the remixes he uploads on YouTube, but his latest video Wizard of Meh features the ingenius remixer sampling lines from The Wizard of Oz and playing around with various expressions.

The short video is shot in black and white footage, and the styling is reminiscent of something from the 1940s. Yet aside from the creativity of the filming, Pogo delivers yet another great remix that shows us how fun it can be to take movie lines, beats, and transform them into something new. Awesomesauce.
