Absolut Vodka is known for their branding techniques, especially when it comes to associating music with their product.
Not too long ago, the Swedish alcohol brand teamed up with Swedish House Mafia for the company’s new vodka, Greyhound. The guys over at SHM created a tracked titled “Greyhound” for the brand and it ended up being a huge success.
The branding technique was such a huge success, that Absolut Vodka decided to team up with Swedish electronic band Little Dragon for the brand’s latest flavor, Absolut Punch. Since the brand is Swedish, I’m sure we’ll begin to notice more Swedish artist teaming up with the brand for promotion.
Little Dragon is a pretty cool band, so it’s nice to see them getting some more “commercial” exposure. The song they did for Absolut Punch is called “Sunshine” and it’s a nice mellow tune that you can just chill out to, and (like you’re expected to) sip on some Absolut Punch.
