Lara Croft Almost “Dies” on Several Occassions | Tomb Raider “Crossroads” [Official E3 Gameplay Trailer]

Did you happen to see the debut of the new Tomb Raider game? Well, in Tomb Raider “Crossroads,” we get to see Lara Croft become the woman gamers across the world have come to love over the years. Yet, it wasn’t an easy road to becoming the badass Lara Croft, Tomb Raider we all love.

The struggle for survival and the tale of how Lara Croft was molded into “Tomb Raider” is apparently a road that involves being burnt, stabbed, bitten, punched, rolling down a mountainside, fighting off a bear, and attempting not to drown in wild rapids. Geeze, does she ever get a break in this trailer? It seems like every second she is fighting off death, but that makes for suspenseful gameplay. The feeling of defying the odds and almost dying due to traps and difficult tasks are one of the reasons why I’ve loved Tomb Raider over the years.

So, I’m not complaining. I love the level of destruction and the tough journey that she has to make in order to evolve into the woman we’ve seen defy the definition of being an explorer. She’s like the female version of Indiana Jones. :)
