Awesomesauce | The Avengers 1978 Movie Promo [1952 Trailer + 2012 Trailer]

Dude and dudettes, I’m super stoked for the May 4th release of The Avengers. OMFG, I can’t wait!!! I’m just looking forward to seeing my favorite characters, especially Thor, Iron Man, and Hulk kick some major ass. It’s probably going to be such an epic movie, that I might have to see it twice (I saw X-Men First Class 3 times.)

I know I’m not the only geek out there that is almost drooling everyone they see the trailers and TV spots, so I’m glad to know that someone decided to have a little bit of fun and make a The Avengers ’78 Movie Promo.

The trailer is oh so old school. It’s weird to watch this fake trailer for a movie that was never made, then to go watch the high-def and super badass trailers for the upcoming The Avengers. But I surely have to say I enjoyed watching the genius editing and mashup work of The Avengers ’78 Movie Promo. Plus, I used to love watching Hulk and seeing him telling Mr. McGee “don’t make me angry.” Since my last name is McGee, I used to always crack up at that line.

Oh, and there is also a trailer for what The Avengers would look like if the movie was made back in the 50s. Haha, weird right? Yeah, I couldn’t wrap my head around that, but it still cool to watch.

Check out Earth’s Mightiest Heroes below and see what they would look like in the 70s, 50s, and of course just because I’m super stoked, I’m going to post the 2012 trailer. Such a geek!

Classic House Vibe | Skwerl – ‘You Need to Dance’ [International Deejay Gigolos]

I may not have been posting a lot of house music lately, but that doesn’t mean I’ve forsaken my daily routine of listening to house whenever possible.

I will forever and always be a house junkie, and sometimes I do wish I had a time machine so I could go back to the days of the classic house scene. There is just something so titillating about the composition of the classic tracks, that you can’t help but to get up and dance. If a classic house track is on, and you’re not dancing…then yes, there must be something wrong with you!

I’m just messing with you. Not everybody loves to get up and dance, but listening to Skwerl’s classic infused track “You Need to Dance” is more than enough ammunition needed to get the party started. The song, which is driven by these soulful vocals and this pulsating bass, inspires you to get up, get lost in the music, and just dance, dance, and dance!!!

I love the purity of house, especially the classic tracks, so it’s nice to see that Skwerl knows how to put out a track that truly captures that disco essence and classic vibe of the music you can always expect to hear from the German label, International Deejay Gigolos Records.

Documentary Spotlight | ‘The Politics of Competitive Board Gaming Amongst Friends’

The only board games I ever really played were the usually Monopoly, LIFE, Sorry, and the occasional adorable Candyland. Yet, there are still a lot of board games out there that people play, and in the short documentary, “The Politics of Competitive board Gaming Amongst Friends,” the director gives us an insight on, well, the “politics of competitive board gaming amongst friends.”

It’s quite a cool short documentary, and it’s unique seeing how these gamers take everything so serious. Usually when I use the term “gamers” I’m often referring to my fellow gamers who play video games, but I guess I really shouldn’t exclude people who play board games; it’s quite the competitive arena.

Awesomesauce | Frog Sits on a Bench Like a Human

When I think of frogs, the first things that come to mind are usually playing Frogger, singing frogs from a Disney cartoon/movie, or biology class. I never really paid much attention to their actual existence or their characteristics, yet this latest viral video makes me wonder what frogs do in their spare time. Do they actually sit around like old men and have conversations while playing a game of chess?

Well, I guess we’ll never know what frogs do, but this latest viral video surely does let us know that sometimes frogs like to sit like a human and have their hands on their thighs. My brother just showed me this video, but upon reading some other sites, I realized it’s being passed around the web. So I figured I’d post it for y’all to see. Haha, this video is so random! I guess he got tired of playing Frogger and had to take a break. lol
