Awesomesauce | Hey Arnold!: The Movie Trailer

I’m a huge fan of these creative filmmakers and actors on YouTube who have been defying the odds, and producing these sick/twisted live-action depictions of childhood favorite cartoons. Funny or Die already did their psychotic version of The Rugrats, so I’m glad that the group of folks over at DrCoolSex decided to do a hilariously psychotic live-action trailer for Hey Arnold!

Anybody who used to watch Hey Arnold! knows that Helga Pataki was one crazy chick. She always had a crush, as well as a shrine, devoted to football head (Arnold,) but the group over at DrCoolSex decided to show an even darker side of Helga. She’s one psychotic bitch! Seriously, something is wrong with that chick, and I always knew it.

I used to imagine what it would be like if Hey Arnold! was a live-action movie, and now this trailer gives me an idea of what the movie would should look like. Check out the trailer below and see for yourself how crazy Helga Pataki actually is. The next time someone stalks you, just say “Ah, she’s got that Helga Pataki syndrome.”

Awesomesauce | ‘Heymoonshaker’ Short Film, David Crowe Dubstep Beatboxing

Listening to the Adventure Club Remix made me think of this amazing dubstep beatbox my mom had shown me about two weeks ago. I never got a chance to post it on here, but I figured I would. It’s amazing to see what people can do with their vocal box, and this guy beatboxing is truly amazing! He hits every single beat, including the iconic beat drop that makes dubstep so amazing.

This amazing guy I’m talking about is, David Crowe. He’s got a lot of videos on YouTube, but his short film Heymoonshaker is pretty cool. You actually get to see David Crowe and A.K.A Andy BaLco on their UK Tour in London. It’s a cool inside look at their tour and their street performances, which are epic! It’s amazing how they can do so much dubstep beatboxing, but it never all sounds the same. Very innovative!

Watch the three part short film below. If you want to go straight into the action, then start with the second video.

Wicked Dubstep | Flight Facilities – ‘Crave You’(Adventure Club Remix)

If you haven’t heard of the Australian duo Flight Facilities, then you missing out of some of the sexiest disco infused tracks. The duo is one of my production teams, and I first ran across them a year ago when I heard their hit song “Crave You.”

“Crave You” is by far my favorite song from the duo, followed by their song “Foreign Language” featuring Jess. Both of the songs have this nice summer beach vibe, but “Foreign Language” has more of a disco sound. But fret not, the Cassian remix of “Crave You” has a disco vibe that will surely please my fellow disco junkies. :)

I really love the disco vibe that the Cassian remix has, but I’ve also got to admit that as of late I’ve really been enjoying this wicked dubstep remix by Adventure Club. I’m not a naysayer when it comes to dubstep, I just get annoyed when people rave and rant constantly that Skrillex invented dubstep. I have some strong opinions on that, but you can read that article here.

So I’m pretty chill when it comes to dubstep and I love the innovation that encompasses the production of dubstep tracks, as well as remixing other EDM tracks. So when I first began listening to the Adventure Club Remix of Flight Facilities “Crave You,” I was quite impressed. It took such a nice mellow track, and turned it into this wickedly dark dubstep vision. It brought forth a deeper & darker emotion to the words “crave you.”

Obsessing Over Life & Music | Simian Mobile Disco- ‘Serpahim’ [Official Music Video]

I guess everyone has their own little quirks and obsessions that make them unique. I can’t really think of any major quirks I have, except the occasional tendency to bite (okay, more like nibble) my tongue when I’m nervous or randomly scratch a surface (yeah, random…)

People have little things they do that make them who they are, and sometimes we also have things we obsess over, including music. So when I first watched Simian Mobile Disco’s music video for “Seraphim,” I could easily figure out the overall message. Yet some people were unclear what the message was, so Simian Mobile Disco explained their video in a Youtube comment.

“Since people are asking – It’s a series of scenes of people going over their obsessive-compulsive type behaviours… as to how that refers to our music, on our new album we’ve been inspired by ideas of repeated loops and patterns breaking down and decaying over time. And the process of making electronic music lends itself to obsessive-compulsive tendencies..”

I love how they were able to bring forth a video based upon an abstract concept, yet it still makes awe inspiring sense.

The video for “Seraphim” just came out yesterday, and it’s a great indication of what we can expect on their upcoming album Unpatterns. Life is essentially filled with so many loops and patterns, yet the arrangement can change depending on a variety of factors.

Essentially, life is mundane, repetitive, and routine based. But it’s the little things we do, our little obsessions, our quirks, and our habit to switch one thing in a routine that can take a dull moment and turn it into something exciting. If not exciting, well then at least worthwhile. But at the end of the day, life is all about patterns, but thoseunpatterns” make it count.

Oh, might as well throw in Simian Mobile Disco’s newly released track off their upcoming EP Unpatterns, “Put Your Hands Together.”

And, while I’m at it….Haha I just love sharing cool stuff with y’all. I might as well post their video “Cerulean” which came out a few weeks ago.
