Last night I was chilling out with my headphones on, and all I could hear were the beautiful transitions from one chill-out song to another on my Pandora Telepopmusik station. I had been meaning to create a station that would ease my soul, appease my mind, and occasionally tease my body, so I based the station of Telepopmusik. They have many beautiful songs that send your mind into a state of euphoria, silence surrounds you….
While I was listening to my station and reading the Hunger Games on Kindle for Mac (only cost 5 bucks,) I began drifting off into an abyss as the words of Stateless’ track “Bloodstream” began changing the atmosphere. One minute I went from thinking about happy thoughts, to reflecting on the one I really loved but their words cut like knives.
Even when someone hurts you, sometimes you have those moments when you still have lingering thoughts of the love you once had. “Bloodstream” is one of those songs that beautifully expresses the love for another, yet they hurt you…but you still love them.
I don’t plan on revisiting that love ever again, because I have no idea where he is. He just up and left my life. So I try not to dwell on that love, but I remain hopeful for the idea of inhaling someone again, feeling their undying love, and getting lost as the silence surrounds us.
By no means am I am poet of any type, so I think it’s best to let the lyrics of Stateless’ “Bloodstream” convey the emotions with every transposed piano chord, vocal, and smooth drums slightly ringing in the background.
Lyrics
Wake up look me in the eyes again/I need to feel your hand upon my face/Words can relay nice/They can cut you open/And the silence surrounds you
and hunts you/I think I might’ve inhale you/I could feel you behind my eyes/You gotten into my bloodstream/I could feel you floating in me
Verse Repeats again, it’s the chorus as well….
The spaces in between/Two minds and all the places they have been/The spaces in between/I tried to put my finger on it/I tried to put my finger on it/I think I might’ve inhale you/I could feel you behind my eyes/You gotten into my bloodstream/I could feel you floating in me/I think I might’ve inhale you/I could feel you behind my eyes/You gotten into my bloodstream/I could feel you floating in me
