Hardcore Electro House: Steve Aoki & Dim Mak Records

Good afternoon everyone!

I sure do hope everyone is having an awesome day! I just finished my new workout at the gym, and I’m still over here jamming to disco house and electro. For the longest time I hated running on the treadmill, but then I realized what the answer to my problem was; I needed to mix up my playlist. I have a pretty good workout playlist, but I needed to through in some more electro, and some hints of disco house for those moments I’m feeling super nostalgic.

So I began searching for some more hardcore electro and remembered that Dim Mak Records always has the best electro. If you haven’t heard of Dim Mak, then perhaps the name Steve Aoki will ring a bell. He’s the the founder of Dim Mak, and he happens to be one of my favorite hardcore electro house artists. He knows how to mix a track just right and get you uber pumped up for dancing the night away or running the lbs off.

If I can say just one thing, I will say that Steve Aoki knows how to party! I still haven’t had the pleasure of seeing him live, but I have seen a lot of his music videos and live footage; he knows how to get the party started! There is just something about the edgy pulsating electro beats that immediately get the adrenaline pumping. Whenever I’mΒ  dancing and I hear the sounds of some hardcore electro, I just get overwhelmed with this adrenaline and just go crazy! The funny thing about it is that I don’t do drugs and I barely ever drink, so I’m just usually naturally hyped up.

The sounds of a lot of hardcore electro music, especially half the tracks from Dim Mak Records, are truly a thing you either love or hate. I’m all for the sounds of soulful house and disco house, but some days I’ve got an adrenaline craving for some intense electro. Today happened to be one of those days where I had this huge craving for some hardcore electro, so I downloaded some tracks, synced them to my Ipod, and hit the treadmill running. I’ve been losing weight pretty steadily the past few weeks, so I just have to keep pushing forward, and with the sounds of Steve Aoki buzzing in my ear I’m sure I will be in awesome shape in no time. There nothing else like the sounds of hardcore electro to push you to the limits and have an insanely good work out.

Here are a few tracks from Steve Aoki & Dim Mak Records, including a video that just came out a few days ago called “Earthquakey People” featuring Rivers Cuomo.
