Let’s Get Deep

I only have one thing to say; thank God for SS Radio UK! Okay, you know I wasn’t going to just jot down a sentence and leave it at that. I’m too talkative to just jot down a concise thought, which probably explains why I’m not on twitter that much. I always end up having to jamming my finger on the backspace key and try to think of a shorter way to express my thoughts. I’m just not an expert at expressing the beautiful moments of life in 160 characters or less.

Twitter may restrict my freedom of express beyond 160 characters, but that’s quite alright. My blog is that spot where I can share with the world my opinions and show you guys the good finds I run across. Which is why I have to tell you guys how awesome SS Radio UK is, and encourage all the house lovers to subscribe to their podcasts. Seriously, it’s a serving of some of the best house music every day. Each time I listen to SS Radio UK, my ears are treated with tantalizing sounds of the best house music on a global level.

SS Radio UK always has the best tracks on all their shows and this morning I couldn’t help but blast a sexy house track called “Try Me.” The song is this sexy house track that features the vocals of Margaret Grace and it talks about the different ways you can “try her.” I love it! So flirty, so fun, and so good! It’s one of those tracks I have to keep listening too, even if it means rewinding the podcast.

I played “Try Me (Teddy Douglas Remix)” probably 10 times today. I know, I know, a junkie right? I just had to listen to it over and over again, but at a certain point I went ahead and listened to the rest of the podcast. There were a lot of good tracks on the podcast and it helped me get through my hour on the elliptical, but the track that stood out the most was yet another deep track called “You Take Me Higher.”

“You Take Me Higher” is a track by Fool Gold record’s artist Rogerseventytwo. I had never heard of him or his music until today, but know I am a fan. His music has a great sound and his track “Imagination” and  Jackson Five “I Want You Back (Remix)” are solid. Rogerseventytwo is the truth, no doubt about that. He has a nice electro vibe, but his track “You Take Me Higher” is a classic floor filler. I’m sure if any DJ plays this track; the crowd will go wild and get lost in that deep house music. The beat is deep. It forces you to move your body and enjoy every single instrument; that is what deep house music is all about. Get up, get down, and get lost in the music.  Remember, house is all about getting deep, getting lost, and enjoying the thrill of life.

Both of the songs I ran across earlier this morning are still playing loud in my head, along with Erickatoure’s “My Pumps” that I posted over the weekend. I doubt I will ever forget that song and the melody, not to mention the drag queen and his fabulous attitude; I love it! I often wonder if there is something wrong with me some days, but then I realize that I’m just a free spirit. House music has had a part in molding my personality and it taught me to accept drag queens and all those within the LGBT community. House taught me to not see race, but see people as beautiful individuals that are also just trying to figure out this crazy journey called life. House music taught me to not care what anyone thinks and just focus on getting deep. So thank you house music for letting be myself and getting deep into the music. HOUSE MUSIC IS THE ANSWER!!!!

Monday Dosage of House, Dance, & DNB

Happy Monday!

I know Monday is usually the day of the week that always seems to start off slow. While most days of the week have room for spontaneity, Mondays seem to always be the same old blah fest. You wake up, reflect back on your wild weekend or romantic rendezvous, and you force yourself to get to school/work on time. It’s one of those days you love to hate and hate to love; it’s always filled with mixed emotions and a lot of plotting for the long week ahead.

A lot of people may have remedies to get through those days that suck, but I’m telling you house music is the answer. It’s that “pick me up” that doesn’t cost a thing, it isn’t dangerous, and it makes you feel limitless. House music is that bucket filled with mysterious chemicals that gives mutants there powers, so dip in a bucket of house music and feel powerful.

You can’t survive a crazy long week without having your Monday dosage of house music, with a taste of weekend aspirations. But you also, especially if you have a diverse personality, might like to though in some dance and dnb. So in order to celebrate a new week ahead and wishing Friday was already here, I’ve decided to post some great music; I’m also posting a song that has been my weekend anthem for about five years now. So turn up your speakers or put on your headphones(if you’re at work and your boss is just lurking) and get lost in a heavy dosage of house, dance, and dnb.

House music is the cure for everything, even those ghastly Monday morning blues!

This track below is from  JB4SoulfulHouse’s YouTube channel. I’ve been subscribed to him for a few months and he never ceases to amaze with the soulful house tracks that are surefire to blow your mind.

Bah Samba Carnival Phil Asher’s Restless Soul Mix

One of the best house tracks I’ve heard in quite awhile. This mix is amazing! I just want to get up and go dancing through the streets screaming my love for house music.

Armand Van Helden & A-TRAK Present Duck Sauce – Anyway

I’ve posted this song a long time ago, but it never gets old! The past few days my mom and I have been singing this and just acting a fool; it’s great!

Kerri Chandler – We Are Here (Kaoz Stressin’ Me Mix)

Ever had those days when people just keep stressing you and blowing your phone up? Well this is the perfect song for all those annoying Monday morning messages from clingy exes and weekend mistakes. Kerri Chandler always comes up with the best house music, he is truly one of my favorites. This song is so funny and I love his irritation with the girl hitting him up on Myspace, Facebook, Twitter, and just stalking him! The best line is: That chick is photo-shopped to death, so you know what…leave message!

High Contrast – Everything’s Different

I’m a huge High Contrast fan and the video for this song is pretty unique. Check it out!

Roni Size / Reprazent – Brown Paper Bag

Yet another good video that has a sweet drum & bass rhythm.  I also love the lyrics, very unique!

And the last song for this post (don’t want to overwhelm you with videos!) is my favorite weekend anthem. Maybe it will help you get through the week and excited about the weekend; or perhaps the guys will just watch it for the sexy half naked dancing on a copier.  Either way, it’s a great song! lol….
