“Eyes are the window to the soul.” A cliche saying at best, but it does hold some truth. Eyes can be a window to the soul, but some people have some very deceptive eyes. Deceptive, seductive, innocent, and just plain old uncertain. Yet, there is still this magnetic pull I feel when I stare into someone’s eyes and have a sincere conversation. It makes me proud to be a human being and it propels me forward on this journey of humanity.
The beauty of two souls connecting via peepers (eyes) is pretty awesome, which is why I’m sure Kaskade and Mindy Gledhill decided to make a song about it. I heard their song “Eyes” not too long ago, but now there is a trippy video out (came out a few days ago on Ultra Records YouTube page) that captures the essence of a soul, life, and being in tranquil motion. The song is such a simple concept, but sometimes simplistic is best when it comes to music. I’m all for having those abstract musical explorations, but there are those days when I want tranquil vibes resonating in my head. I like music to just “peace me out,” especially on those long days where I feel overwhelmed from school work or life.
If you’re a fan of Kaskade, then I’m sure you’ll love this side of him. It’s a lot more calm and sort of enticing in a way. It’s easy to get lost while listening to this song and if you watch the video, you might get caught in a trance; the video is very trippy and feels like some type of 80s depiction of an acid trip. See for yourself, watch the video!
