I Love Cats Too, But Dang Girl!

I’m a huge fan of cats and used to have this adorable orange and white cat named Einstein. He was the most adorable and sassy cat, but I had to give him away when I left Maryland again and moved to Colorado in 08′. I’ve had so many different types of animals growing up. I raised hamsters and sold them at the pet store, I had a dog named April, lizards, turtles, birds, and I’ve had a few cats.

Animals are so precious and I hate seeing those humane shelter commercials with the sad Sarah Mclachlan song playing in the background. Cats especially are cute and I love the stuck up attitude they have. I don’t have any pets at the moment, but once I move out I do plan on getting a cat or a small dog (probably a cat.) I can understand how emotional owners get with their pets, but some things are way over the top.

It’s one thing to cry about the death of a cat or losing your cat, but getting emotional and crying during an eHarmony video is not the appropriate time. I don’t know if you guys have seen this video, but it’s been making it’s way around the web. This lady named Debbie decided to do a video introduction for her eHarmony profile and she randomly got caught up on the subject of cats. If you don’t want to seem like a crazy obsessed cat lady, then don’t start crying about cats when your on the hunt for a soul-mate.

Her video was an honest effort and it’s one of a kind. A lot of people are trying to duplicate her video on YouTube and are doing their own spoofs, but the original is hilarious! I wonder if she found her soul-mate or a man that can tolerate her love for cats. There’s nothing wrong with being a cat lover but there is a time and a place to talk about how cute they are and how adorable their purr sounds. I’m a cat lover and I’m not ashamed to admit it, but you won’t ever catch  me crying about cats on camera. The most you’ll get out of me is a girly “awwww” and a high pitched “they’re so cute!!!!!” But I’m not on a mission to hug every cat in the world, I’ll leave that one up to Debbie.

Check out Debbie’s eHarmony video bio and don’t be ashamed to laugh. It’s a funny video and I know she meant well with her passion for cats, but dang girl…calm down!
